Favourite places

These pictures represent special places that clients have asked to be immortalised on canvas.

The sunset was made up based on lots of different photos and colours that the client wanted included. The tree was a favourite tree at the back of their parents' house that brought back fond memories.

Old Faithful geyser was a pastel drawn from a holiday snap and Buttermere Lake with Haystacks was painted to look a lot sunnier than it was!

Wildlife

All sorts of wildlife portraits can be commissioned. These bird paintings are examples of how realism can be teamed with an impressionist background and are for sale. They were painted on acid free board using texture paste and acrylic paints size 18x24" and are for sale framed £500 plus p&p. Mounted prints are also available in other sizes.

Property

This painting was commissioned to capture the place where a holiday cottage has been built. It was based on an old photo taken in the early 1900s in the village of St. Florence, Wales but the couple wanted it in colour so recent photos were used as well. It was painted on board using acrylic paints size 12x16".

“We didn't expect such a lovely picture from an old black and white photo. Brilliant!”

Property and Places

Kate creates landscape art for people who want to be reminded of special places they have visited and enjoyed. The wildlife art she produces celebrates beauty in nature and special commissions of art wildlife can be undertaken for people who enjoy bird watching, other animals or plants that they would love to have in their home.

As a landscape artist Kate loves to paint contemporary landscape art outside when the weather permits but usually works from photographs as the clouds and light change faster than she can paint! As a wildlife artist it is essential that she takes a lot of photos before the animal or bird disappears.

Kate also paints abstract landscape art by using different photographs to get a sense of the scene, light and atmosphere.

Photos can be sent via email, or through the post as prints or on CD. If possible photos should be taken outside in natural daylight or if would like to use a photograph taken by a professional photographer please ask their permission.
